Since 2007, we have been proudly supporting the International Sevgi Gönül Byzantine Studies Symposium, which takes place every three years and is held in memory of the late Sevgi Gönül (1938-2003), who always supported efforts to protect cultural heritage. The symposium aims to share the scientific research on Byzantium conducted in Turkey and oth-er countries via an international platform, to consolidate research in the field, to raise awareness of cultural heritage through publications, and to support young researchers of Byzantine culture.
