In 1977, in her proficiency research thesis titled Transparency and Internal Ligth Elements in Contemporary Sculpture, Seyhun Topuz chose a topic that was relatively new on the art scene in Turkey, and began to work on the process of giving from to semantic formalization based on meaning. In this work, in addition to problems of a space in modern sculpture, Seyhun focused on topics such as transperancy, reflection, internal ligth, colour, achromaticity and movement; and investigated the disadventages of using diffrent materials such as plastics, acrylics and polyester. - Semra Germaner
