Today, the new technologies of computer graphics and virtual restoration are helping the wider public to understand the urban and monumental character of ancient cities. In this brochure, the Italian Archaeological Mission in Hierapolis in Phrygia uses suggestive images to present the results of a long and painstaking analysis and reconstruction of the city's monuments. These are accompanied by illustrations drawn using more traditional methods, which show scenes of daily life in the setting of the reconstructed buildings.
