The lithographic album of Jean (Giovanni) Brindesi, Elbice-i Atika: Musée des Anciens Costumes Turcs de Constantinople, originally printed in 1855 by Lemercier Printing House of Paris, consists of 22 plates depicting various Ottoman functionaries and military personnel in their traditional costumes. Brindesi's work is distinquishable among its kind due to superior quality of its drawings, printing and colors. 

In reprinting the album, we aim to show its historical importance by adding explanatory texts on the costumes and duties of the Ottoman functionaries and military personnel depicted in Brindesi's work.
