One of the most famous physicians of Ancient Time is Galenus of Pergamon, who is as important as Hip¬pocrates. Galenus, being born in 129 or 130 A.D. is the owner of many findings in physic and is the father of pharmaceutics. Roman Emperor Marcus Aeurelius presented a medallion to him and honored him with the inlaid writing of "The Emperor of Phy¬sicians". When Galenus passed away in Pergamon at the age of 81, he yielded many new treatment method and findings regarding physic and pharmaceutics.
