In the exhibition chosen entirely from the Ömer M. Koc collection, striking rare works related to photography history, including portraits in a miniature style from the 18th century and handtinted portrait photographs, select examples from the mysterious world of the first photographs on paper and daguerreotypes, and a very limited number of albums of the photographs by prominent names in travel photography such as James Robertson, Filice Beato, Ernest de Caranza, Maxime du Camp and Frances Frith about Istanbul, Athens, Malta, Mount Athos, Egypt and the Crimea have been gathered and are on display to those interested in our culture and art history.
